Valeriu Soroceanu, beloved husband, father and grandfather, born on July 22, 1946 in Moldova, left us on April 22, 2025 after a brief hospital stay for complications from chemotherapy. Valeriu lived most of his life in our home country and moved to the United States in retirement to be with his family. He embraced American life with gusto, especially enjoying demolishing all-you-can-eat Chinese buffets, refined shopping at the local Dollar Tree store, cruising the Caribbean and Alaska, and traveling around the globe. Despite speaking very limited English, Valeriu charmed every female nurse and technician he met, mainly due to his unshakable belief in his own attractiveness. Not even three cancer diagnoses managed to dampen his irrepressible spirit. Completely devoted to his family, he leaves behind his wife of nearly 54 years, Tatiana; daughters: Eleonora and Ludmila; son-in-law, Martin, and grandchildren: Andy and Sofia. He has gone to reunite with his parents, Ion and Eugenia and siblings: Margareta, Dorin and Ileana. Rest in peace, you will be missed forever.
