Stacia Lea Joyner (known as Stacey to many) lost her fight with triple negative breast cancer on June 20, 2024, a beautiful solstice evening in Atlanta. She was born in Minneapolis 53 years ago and spent portions of her life there, as well as Sausalito, Chicago, Atlanta, and her beloved Newport Beach.
Stacia will be remembered for her strong personality, determination, and independent spirit. She drew on those qualities in her brave and courageous fight against breast cancer beginning in the midst of the COVID pandemic.
Stacia loved music, clothes, outrageous shoes, dogs, and birdwatching. No one who knew her will forget her blue eyes.
She is survived and missed by her parents Debbie Cullen, Gary Lee Joyner (Mercedes Rider), her sister, Molly Cullen, and her special aunt, Carrie Nordstrom. She also leaves behind many other aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and favorite dogs; Kodak, Charlie Ellis, and Maggie. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Clancy Cullen, her grandparents, and other family members.
