Sandra Omajean Buck Poncier, a devoted servant of Christ, beloved mother, grandmother,  great-grandmother, and teacher, entered her heavenly home on December 1, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on February 18, 1938, in Miami, Florida. Sandra dedicated her life to selfless service, unwavering faith, and nurturing the hearts of children.

For over 50 years, Sandra faithfully ministered to preschool students, sharing God’s love with the youngest members of His flock. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and boundless patience were hallmarks of her teaching. She spent many of those years at North Lanier Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia, where she poured her energy and faith into shaping the lives of countless children. Sandra’s ministry was more than a calling—it was a testament to her deep love for God and her desire to guide children toward His grace.

Her selflessness extended far beyond her ministry. Sandra was a beacon of kindness, always putting others before herself and offering a listening ear or a comforting word to anyone in need. Her family was her greatest joy, and she lived every day as an example of unconditional love and devotion.

Sandra is survived by her daughters: Michele Poncier Tew, and Melynn Damiani; her grandchildren: Jeffery Galloway, Christopher Roberts, Casey Roberts, and Nikki Damiani, and her great-grandchildren: Jaxson Roberts and Alexander Roberts, and a wide circle of family, friends, and those blessed by her teaching and ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Buck, and Eva Buck, and her husband, Alvin Poncier.

Sandra’s selflessness, faith, and unwavering love will forever inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will continue to shine brightly for Jesus in all of the lives she touched.
