Paula Gerber

Paula Francine Gerber, age 51, of Dunwoody, Georgia passed away in her home on June 23, 2024. She will be remembered with love by her daughter and son-in-law, Erin and William Vaughn; sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Mike Paolozzi; nephews: Michael, Jonathan, and Andrew, and a host of family and friends.

Paula was born to Lorraine and Leonard Gerber in Piscataway, New Jersey and is the youngest of five siblings. As a young child, Paula's family relocated to Dunwoody, Georgia, the place she would forever call home. A graduate of Dunwoody High School and proud member of the marching band, Paula excelled in music, literature, and German language. Her incredible talent and passion for playing the French horn and trumpet ultimately led her to the Kansas State University marching band.

Those who were lucky enough to know and love Paula would describe her as youthful, compassionate, and devoted. She had a child's heart and cared deeply for her family and friends - always lending a hand to help, an ear to listen, or a smile to brighten someone's day. More than anything in the world, Paula loved her daughter, Erin, and cherished their profound friendship and time spent together.

Paula was preceded in death by both of her parents and her life partner, Charles Katrenick. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, the ASPCA, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
