Nancy Pickens Quinn Woodward June 11, 1943- November 6, 2021.
Nancy was born to Paul Gordon and Katherine MaGee Pickens in Charleston, West Virginia. The oldest of 3 siblings, the family was raised in Cambridge, Ohio. After high school, Nancy entered to the corporate world and never looked back. After a long and successful career at IBM that took her all over the world, Nancy worked with the Atlanta Olympic Committee, planning the 1996 games. Nancy worked hard and loved and shared abundantly. She loved to entertain and share her home with friends and family, especially at Christmas. Her love of travel took her all over the world. She traveled to Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and all over the US, living in San Francisco, Washington, DC, Dallas, and finally Atlanta. She was also a lover of animals, giving all of her pets through the years the best life any pet would imagine. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 pm on November 19th, at Kingswood United Methodist Church in Dunwoody. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Atlanta Humane Society, a charity she regularly gave to, in her memory.
