Morgan "Buddy" Lafayette Brown III

Morgan Lafayette "Buddy" Brown III, a longtime resident of Chamblee, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Buddy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Brown on March 2, 2025.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Price; parents: Morgan Lafayette Brown, Jr and Ruth Eleanor Brown and nephew, Mark Price.  He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and John O’Neal; son and daughter-in-law, Bud and Marion Brown; sister, Ruth Sanford; grandchildren:  Brad (Cyndi) O’Neal, Kim (Kevin) Caille, Morgan (Gabby) Brown, Megan Brown; great grandchildren: Lennon O’Neal, Myles O’Neal, Wesley Caille, Duke Caille; niece, Jan McMurray; nephews: Sammy Sanford, Jim Sanford and Matt Sanford. 
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Buddy's life at a funeral service on Sunday October 11, 2026, at 11:00 am at Fischer Funeral Care in Atlanta. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same location. Following the service, a committal service will take place at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum in Birmingham, AL, at 3:00 pm.
