Farewell to Midre Yanet
We are all here to say farewell to Mildre; or as her family called her, Yanet, her middle name.
Mildre Yanet was the woman I was fortunate to be married to for 45 years. She was the strongest, most compassionate, smart, and beautiful lady I have ever met. I used to tell her I knew her even better than her mom did because we had a long and happy life together.
I was a fortunate guy to have her always by my side; she never gave up on anything, good or bad, she often encouraged me to move forward and see what happens...
She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach or the pool. She was an Accounting Assistant, Lawyer, Cosmetic Technician, and Nanny; but especially a loving and loyal wife, unconditionally loving mother, and mother-in-law.
Mildre, two things you wanted, that we could not accomplish for you:
The first one: Speaking English. No matter how hard you tried, and maybe we as a family did not provide enough support, or maybe because after a while you realized that your inability to speak English was not important or necessary enough as it never stopped you from getting things done. Whatever the reason, it no longer matters, as I’d like to think the place you now dwell does not require it.
The second: You always wanted to go to New York and meet Alexa face to face. That is something we owe you, and I will forever apologize we were not able to accomplish it in your lifetime. I hope in your new life you may meet her and say hello. I promise to try to take you in spirit.
Ok, now is the time to say goodbye, Negrita, as one of your favorite songs says
“We always love you”
Your husband,
Jorge

Mildre is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jorge Sr; her eldest son, Leonardo and his wife Alexandra; her youngest son Jorge Jr and his wife Chelsea; and her three granddaughters, Mila, Isabella, and Lilah.
Adiós a Midre Yanet
Segundo: siempre quisiste ir a Nueva York y conocer a Alexa cara a cara.
Tu marido,
Jorge
