Michael Frederick Cribbs

Michael F. Cribbs, age 72, of Atlanta, Georgia, died on August 21, 2023. Michael was born in Savannah, Georgia, on September 20, 1950, to Mary C. Cribbs and Erus Delton Cribbs, both deceased. Michael is survived by his spouse, Teresa Ann Cribbs and children: Michael S. Callahan, Michael F. Cribbs, II, and Catherine Michelle Cribbs Thompson; six grandchildren; sisters: Sandy Mitchell, Sharon Shevelon and Jackie Simonds; brother, Erus Delton Cribbs, Jr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Hamon.

Michael graduated from Hardaway High School in Columbus, Georgia. In 1968, at age 17, he started working for Southern Bell in Atlanta as a frame technician. He went into the Army in December 1969 and served in Vietnam 1970-1971. He returned to Southern Bell after military service and was later promoted to Network Engineer Software and Hardware in ATT Labs Atlanta. Mike retired from ATT in January 2010. After retirement, Mike did major volunteer work for Saint Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Conference and OLA -  Knights of Columbus.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
