Mayanin Milagros Ahart (April 27, 1965-February 23, 2026)

 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mayanin Milagros Ahart. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. Born on Tuesday, April 27, 1965, in Valencia, Venezuela, Maya, as she was affectionately known, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her daughter’s residence in Marietta, Georgia, on February 23rd.

Maya was the heart of her family. She was a woman of deep faith, compassion, and strength who faced life’s challenges with grace, courage, and an unbreakable spirit. She found joy in caring for others, creating a warm and welcoming home, and bringing her family together. She was a deeply loving and supportive mother, always present, encouraging, and devoted to her children. She was also like a second mother to her nieces, loving them as her own. Maya loved everyone immensely and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Her love was constant, selfless, and unconditional, and her presence brought comfort and peace to those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Ahart of Houston, TX; her loving mother, Herminia Salas de Sanchez Agüero; her cherished children, Alejandro Ahart Sanchez, Alana Ahart (John), and Sara Geddie (Reid); and her adored grandson, James Geddie, who brought her immense joy.

Maya also leaves behind her dear sister, Yarit Mila Clark (Sam); her brothers, Randolph Sanchez Salas Agüero, Joffre Sanchez Salas Agüero, and Rolfand Sanchez Salas Agüero; and her nieces, Camila Sanchez Araujo, Faith Marie Acuff, Grace Marie Acuff, and Amanda Marie Sanchez; the Salas-Herrera, Salas-Mirelles, and Salas-Bowman cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Ramon Sanchez Agüero, and her brother, Orson Sanchez Salas Agüero.

Maya’s life was enriched by the love and friendship of many dear friends and family who stood by her side through every season of life. Her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Maya’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Maya will be laid to rest afterwards in the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church Parish Columbarium.

Maya will be remembered for her faith, her strength, her gentle spirit, and the boundless love she gave so freely. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the family she loved so deeply.

Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Mayanin Milagros Ahart. Fue una amada esposa, madre, hija, hermana, abuela y amiga. Nacida el martes 27 de abril de 1965 en Valencia, Venezuela, Maya, como cariñosamente era conocida, falleció en paz, rodeada de su familia, en la residencia de su hija en Marietta, Georgia, el día 23 de febrero.

Maya fue el corazón de su familia. Fue una mujer de profunda fe, compasión y fortaleza, que enfrentó los desafíos de la vida con gracia, valentía y un espíritu inquebrantable. Encontraba alegría en cuidar de los demás, en crear un hogar cálido y acogedor y en mantener unida a su familia. Fue una madre profundamente amorosa y dedicada, siempre presente, brindando apoyo, ánimo y entrega absoluta a sus hijos. También fue como una segunda madre para sus sobrinas, a quienes amó como si fueran sus propias hijas. Maya amaba profundamente a todos y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a quien lo necesitara. Su amor fue constante, generoso e incondicional, y su presencia brindaba consuelo y paz a quienes la rodeaban.

Le sobreviven su dedicado esposo, Michael Ahart, de Houston, Texas; su amada madre, Herminia Salas de Sánchez Agüero; sus queridos hijos, Alejandro Ahart Sánchez, Alana Ahart (John) y Sara Geddie (Reid); y su adorado nieto, James Geddie, quien le brindó una inmensa alegría.

Maya también deja a su querida hermana, Yarit Mila Clark (Sam); a sus hermanos, Randolph Sánchez Salas Agüero, Joffre Sánchez Salas Agüero y Rolfand Sánchez Salas Agüero; y a sus sobrinas, Camila Sánchez Araujo, Faith Marie Acuff, Grace Marie Acuff y Amanda Marie Sánchez; los primos de los Salas-Herrera, Salas-Mirelles y Salas-Bowman. Fue precedida en la muerte por su padre, Rafael Ramón Sánchez Agüero, y su hermano, Orson Sánchez Salas Agüero.

La vida de Maya estuvo enriquecida por el amor y la amistad de muchos familiares y amigos que la acompañaron en cada etapa de su vida. Su bondad, calidez y espíritu generoso dejaron una huella imborrable en todos los que la conocieron.

Una misa fúnebre para celebrar la vida de Maya se llevará a cabo el sábado, marzo 7 del 2026, a las 10:30 AM en la Iglesia Católica Our Lady of the Assumption. Maya será colocada en su lugar de descanso final después de la misa en el columbario parroquial de Our Lady of the Assumption.

Maya será recordada por su fe, su fortaleza, su dulzura y el amor inmenso que entregó siempre de manera desinteresada. Aunque ya no esté físicamente con nosotros, su legado vive en las vidas que tocó y en la familia que amó profundamente.
