Mary Brady Smith

Mrs. Mary Brady Smith, age 98, of College Park died Monday afternoon, June 14, 2021, at her residence after an extended illness.

Mrs. Smith was an outgoing Southern Lady who loved traveling abroad and playing cards with her friends. She was a social lady who loved volunteering at many places including the Women’s Club, America Legion, and the Bargain Shop at First Baptist Church of College Park. She was a true family Matriarch who patiently and without judgement offered advice to her family and friends. Her kind, loving and steady personality will be missed by many. She was Christian by Faith.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Smith; her daughter, Margaret Rose; her great-grandson, Aaron; her brother, Roy Brady and her sister Virginia Brady.
Mary is survived by her son Thomas L. Smith of Marietta; her daughter, Mary Katherine Vaughn of Conyers; two grandsons, Jack T. Smith of Brookhaven and Mark A. Smith (Megan) of Virginia; her granddaughter, Deidre Broadnex of Cartersville; six great-grandchildren, Merrie, Taylor, Rebecca, Seth, Kasey and Nikki; and five great-great grandchildren, Ellie, Miles, Peyton, Landon and Rhikole.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Mary Brady Smith will be held Sunday, June 20, 2021 at College Park Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 3:00-5:00 pm in the Chapel of Fischer Funeral Care at 3734 Chamblee Dunwoody Road Chamblee Ga 30341. After the visitation there will be a celebration of life at her grandson’s home at 3622 Fortingale Road, Chamblee GA 30341.
