She was preceded in death by her grandson, Armando, of blessed memory.
Marjorie (or “Margie” as she was most commonly called) was a fiercely independent lover of life. She was a pillar of strength, who supported her family and friends her whole life. Margie’s commitment to her parents, children, and grandchildren was powerful, selfless, and always based in love; her heart was fullest when she was surrounded by family.
Margje was always a sharp thinker whose love of books and politics rivaled her love of black coffee. She dedicated her professional life to education, teaching for many years in Carroll County public schools and the Jewish Day School in Washington, DC.
Margie had an indomitable spirit and fought hard for those she loved, and for herself. She will be dearly missed by many. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation ACCF. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, Virginia. Arrangements by Fischer Funeral Care, Atlanta, Georgia (678) 514-1000
