Marie Bachir (Zakié B. Moussa) Hahalis

Marie Bachir Hahalis, of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Boston, Massachussettts, passed away on July 1, 2025 at the age of 75.

Marie was born in Beirut, Lebanon to Bachir and Georgette (Hajjar) Moussa. In 1988, she came to the United States settling in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked in management for many years. Her expertise included sales, hospitality and customer service.

She was the beloved wife of Nicholas Hahalis, who passed away on January 27, 2025.

Mother of Rita Homsi (husband Elie), Abdel Jalil Dandal (wife Ghada), Carol Honein (husband Joe), Stepmother of Maria Hahalis Letzerich (husband Neville).
Cherished sister of the late Maurice Moussa, Nouhad Moussa Baroud, and Pierre Moussa. She is survived by her brother George Moussa (wife Susan), her sisters Margot Moussa Ashkar, and Arlette Moussa. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends both in the United States and in Lebanon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Fischer Funeral Care, 3742 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30341.
