Linda Reece Obituary

Linda Rosamond Reece, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her home in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Reece was married to Bobby E. Reece for 55 years until his death in 2023. She was a 1967 graduate of Parker High School. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Perry and Wyomia Dorsey Rosamond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Bobby E. Reece, along with three of her siblings, James P. Rosamond Jr., Susan Rosamond Newhouse, and David Dorsey Rosamond.

Mrs. Reece was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, but eventually traveled extensively with her husband and children, living in Michigan, New Jersey, Switzerland, and Virginia before moving back to the Greenville area and eventually to Atlanta to be closer to family. She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. Without a doubt her favorite place was Pawleys Island, SC where she loved early mornings on the front porch and long days on the beach walking, shell-hunting, and soaking up the sun.

Mrs. Reece is survived by her three children, Suzanne, Jennifer, and Benjamin (Lauren), along with her five beloved grandchildren—Andy Coy, Madison Reece, Levi Coy, Slade Reece, and Hadley Reece. Mrs. Reece is also survived by her older sister, Patricia Rosamond Green of Greenville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A time of remembrance will be held by the family at a later date. For those wishing to remember Mrs. Reece, contributions may be made in her memory to one of the schools attended by her grandchildren.
