John E. Sommers, Sr.

John E. Sommers, Sr. died May 30, 2025. 

John is survived by his loving wife, Susan Valente Sommers; two children, his son, John (Tanya) Sommers II and his daughter, Amie (Pat) Darke; seven grandchildren, John Sommers III, Cody (Tristan) Sommers, Anna Darke, Will Darke, Lauren Darke, Patrick Darke and Maria Darke; brother, Raymond Sommers; and sister, Mary Alice Passage. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Sommers.

Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the church.   The committal service will be held in Dover, TN.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in John's memory to Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church or Gateway Center .
