Jo Ellen White passed peacefully surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, loyal sister, and touched many by her giving and generous heart. She was originally from West Virginia, grew up on a farm in a small Coal Mining town and was blessed with many siblings. She was strong willed, independent, and had a flair for life she expressed through her clothes, her collections of Barbies, Elvis and Jewelry.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Noah White, Chamblee, GA; daughters: Monette Corrigan, Alexandria, VA; Colette Stowers, Lawrenceville, Georgia; Suzette White, Hiawassee, GA; grandchildren: James Allen IV; Brittany Bevers, Schuyler Corrigan, Sequoya Ford, Noah Ford; great grandchildren: Bryanna, Cayden and Terry Scott, Lexi Allen; siblings: Opal Carrol, Ramona Chambers and Rex Bias. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project.
The family will honor her in a private graveside service on Saturday.
