Harold McClure

Vance Harold McClure, a retired commercial driver and a resident of Stockbridge,GA, died of Covid pneumonia on October 4th, 2021 at the age of 65. Harold is survived by his parents, Eloise Ruth Clay (Long) and Marion Clay (Step Father); his children, Shaun McClure, Angela and Amerido Berrios, Jeremy McClure and Jessica McClure; his grandsons, Leonidas Berrios and Garrett Gregory; and his siblings Sheryl and Dean Dawson, Vance Harris McClure Jr., Pamela and Alejandro Ruiz . He is predeceased by his father, Vance Harris McClure. Harold was born in Atlanta on July 13, 1956. He graduated from Cross Keys Highschool in 1974. Harold joined the Air Force Dec. 1977 and served his country until Aug. 1983. After the Air Force he has worked many jobs within the commercial driving industry. Harold has always enjoyed cooking in the kitchen or on the grill. His appreciation of grilling included being a judge for BBQ competitions. When he was not judging he could be found working on his own recipes for BBQ. For several years he was part of a group of Professional Santa's where he enjoyed bringing cheer to many during the holidays. These hobbies have allowed him to meet many new friends throughout the years, that he has continued friendships with. Harold is a Christian and is now walking the streets of gold with his father and Heavenly Father. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Visitation for Mr, Harold McClure will be held Saturday, September 9, 2021 from 2:00 -3:00 pm at Fischer Funeral Care at 3742 Chamblee Dunwoody Road Atlanta GA 30341.  Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm.  Interment is scheduled for Thursday November 4, 2021 at GA National Cemetery in Canton GA with military honors.
