GRACE MAHONY

January 5, 1926 to June 23, 2024

Grace Marie Delaney Mahony, 98, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully June 23, 2024, following a brief illness. Loving wife of the late Charles Francis Mahony. Beloved mother to Patricia Mahony (David Nicholl), Kevin Mahony (Sophia Farr), and Maureen Mahony (Jeffery Bailey). Grandmother to Olivia Mahony and Ryan Nicholl. Aunt Grace to multiple generations of nieces and nephews. 

Grace Mahony was preceded in death by her husband Charles Mahony, her parents Thomas Delaney and Cleo Delaney, her brother Fred Delaney (Betty) and sister Frances Trendle (Walter).

Born in Deerfield, Michigan and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, Grace was one of four candidates from her high school selected to work for Ford Motor Company, where she became a member of the Ford Ski Club. In later years, Grace joined her husband in launching a successful professional services company. An avid skier, golfer, and world traveler, Grace enjoyed spending quality time with family most of all. She was known and loved by many for her intelligence, quick wit, and sweet smile, always willing to give a word of encouragement when it was needed most.

Grace Mahony was a lifelong Catholic and parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church of Dunwoody.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mount Vernon Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30338. A reception will be held after the service off site.  The family requests donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
