Gina Nicole Briggs, a vivacious adventurer who lived life without an ounce of hesitation, bid us farewell at 55. Her laughter and fearless spirit will forever echo in our hearts.
Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Gina was a whirlwind of charm, wit, and energy. Her quirky humor turned every gathering into a celebration. Gina’s motto, “fear less... live more,” wasn't just a slogan — it was her way of life. She inspired everyone around her to seize the moment and savor each experience.
Gina was a marketing professional with over 30 years of experience, achieving leadership positions with prestigious companies such as AOL, L’Oréal Paris, Nickelodeon, The Travel Channel, Mattel, and most recently, Hasbro as Senior Director of Global Brand Strategy and Marketing. She earned her BA in Marketing from Georgia State University.
Gina excelled in developing long-term global brand growth strategies and vision. Respected by her colleagues for her dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm, Gina combined sharp business acumen with integrity and a sense of humor, making her a pleasure to work with.
It was Gina’s insatiable desire to explore the world that truly defined her. Her love for Italy was immense. Ten years ago, she boldly quit her job to live in Italy – a defining moment that became one of the best times of her life. She overcame her fear and learned to LIVE! Gina lived and embraced cultures and friendships across continents, from Atlanta, to New York, Italy, London and California, gathering experiences that enriched her life.
Diagnosed with Stage 4b ovarian cancer in July 2022, Gina turned her battle into a mission for awareness. She advocated fiercely for others, reminding us to live boldly and gracefully. Even through her illness, she continued to travel to beautiful destinations like Hawaii, Portugal, Rhode Island, Florida, Denmark, Norway, Patagonia and Santiago, Chile, where she saw her favorite band, Red Hot Chili Peppers—a testament to her belief that life should be embraced in all its splendor.
Gina believed in cherishing connections and letting go of disappointments, sprinkling humor and love in equal measure. She was a loyal friend who loved unconditionally, a thoughtful and caring soul who brought immense joy and fun to every life she touched.
She is survived by her mother, Gladys Briggs; sister, Kim Briggs; niece, Raegan Lambert; nephew, Kameron Briggs; grandniece, Violet Williams; aunt, Dr. Karen Briggs; uncle, James Grundy; and a host of cousins and relatives. Her extensive circle of friends, scattered across the globe, will forever treasure her adventurous spirit and vibrant personality. Her love also extended to her fur babies - her loyal doggie, Luca, and sassy kitty, Fiona, who were her faithful companions.
As we celebrate Gina’s life, we’ll share stories filled with laughter, joy, and her unmistakable ability to capture your attention. In her honor, we’ll keep dancing, traveling, and cherishing connections, embracing life’s quirks just as she did. Gina lived by the simple yet profound principle: “Do the thing,” and she encouraged us all to do the same.
Thank you, Gina, for teaching us that truly living means embracing every moment with love, laughter, and a touch of grace. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire us—and make us smile along the way.
