Eric Brown, 45, resident of Atlanta, Georgia, died on Thursday, January 22, 2026, after a brave journey with glioblastoma. He passed away peacefully surrounded by love. Eric was a loving son, a devoted husband and proud father.
Eric was born November 21, 1980 in Richmond, Virginia and from an early age he loved doing anything outdoors—especially hunting and fishing. An Eagle Scout, Eric was often happiest sporting something camo, sitting in a blind, scanning the flats or baiting a hook. He was an avid golfer who never shied aware from a friendly wager.
Eric was a diehard Clemson Tiger, graduating in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Financial Management. At Clemson University, Eric studied Finance and was active in his fraternity, Sigma Chi. After graduating, he began his professional career in Charlotte, NC for a few years prior to moving to Atlanta. Eric also attended Georgia State University where he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
An accomplished Commercial Real Estate professional, Eric was proud of his entrepreneurial endeavors, standing up his own business and helping other companies solve their real estate and project management challenges. The most important role in his life, however, was being a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Eric instilled his love of the Atlanta Braves and in his kids and gave back to the community through youth baseball coaching. Eric’s fun-loving personality shined through all his relationships. From Virginia to Clemson to Atlanta, he made many lasting friendships and positive impacts on people’s lives. Eric’s joyful attitude and quick wit were able to make you laugh so deep in your gut that it felt like he was able to touch your soul.
When you are jamming to a favorite song, sipping an Old Fashioned, enjoying a beautiful sunset (he would say orange and purple!), adjusting a BBQ rub or manning the grill, or laughing and joking with friends and family – know that Eric loved all these things too.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James L. Brown. He is survived by his mother, Dr. Barbara S. Brown; wife, Sara Pancoast Brown; children Caroline (10), Andrew (8) and Charlie (6); and brothers Bill Brown and David Brown Oehler. He is deeply missed not only by his family but also by his forever-friends, friends and the community. Even in death, his legacy of love and devotion continues to inspire us.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 3:00p at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, in the Kellett Chapel. A Celebration of Eric’s Life will follow later that afternoon. Details will be shared on his Caring Bridge site. Visit Caring Bridge site here: Caring Bridge Eric Brown
