Donna M. Newman

Donna Marie Newman died peacefully at home on July 10, 2021 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  Donna was born December 26, 1948, in Baltimore, MD and she is a graduate of Hood College in Frederick, MD.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Muriel Newman, and her brother, Edward Newman.  Donna is survived by her sister,  Patricia Newman Held (Joseph) and her partner, Bobby Miller.  

She lived in Atlanta since 1973 and retired from AT&T, holding various positions as a Technical Consultant, Product Management, and Systems Analyst.  

Donna had a real zest for life, traveling extensively around the world, bareboat sailing in the Caribbean, and enjoying her dance group.  She had a keen curiousity and interest in everything and delighted in sharing all of her varied interests with many wonderful friends.  Favorite past times included gardening, volunteer work, going to museums, and adventures like scuba and sky diving.  Donna requested a sailing "Celebration of Life" and her ashes scattered in the ocean she loved.
