Donna Marie Marler, 65, passed away July 8, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. Donna was born September 23, 1960 in Atlanta, Georgia where she lived out her life. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Dickson; father, James Dickson, Jr. ; siblings: James Dickson III and Kimberly King. She is survived by her partner of 37 years, Robert Duttenhoffer; daughter, Danielle Ramos; son, Derrick Marler; grandchildren: Kayla, Logan, Branden, Jacob and Aden. As well as her nieces and nephews that she helped raise: Adam, Amanda, Destanie and Zachary. Donna also had life long friends who were more like family in Tom Chailland and Ola Hernandez. Donna was a big kid at heart. She loved babies, and over her lifetime, she was the caretaker of many children. So much so that the whole neighborhood called her Aunt Donna but we were the lucky ones to call her Momma. Donna also had a deep connection to animals. They were drawn to her deep love for them. Boy, did they fill her with so much love in return. They would always be so protective of her in a way they knew she needed. Donna was never into the materialistic things in life. She would light up to show you all of her Goodwill finds. Even though she didnt have much to offer people she was always looking after those in need. She looked after so many stray animals over the years we lost count. We have also heard so many stories of how she looked after others. Donna was full of love and willing to give that love to those who were often overlooked. Donna was also a force and an energy that when experienced, often, all you were left to say was "That's Donna". She stayed true to her authentic self and spoke her mind no matter the cost. Donna had a deep love of music, and was known to dance the night away. She loved to have fun with the people she loved. She was full of comedy, and often the life of the party. Donna loved God and she spoke of her relationship with him often. God certainly broke the mold when He made her, because there will never be another woman quite like her.
