Deborah Ann Daniel

Deborah Ann Daniel, 69, of Atlanta passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, surrounded with the love of her family.  Deborah was born in Atlanta and grew up on the family farm in Fairburn, Georgia. She continued to live in the Atlanta area most of her adult life, with college and career taking her briefly to Jacksonville, Florida and Kalamazoo, Michigan.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Deborah started her career working in pharmaceutical research and later pursued entrepreneurial career options primarily in the fitness industry, owning two Sports Shoe Franchises. 

Deborah's love of the outdoors led to an adventurous life shared with friends and family.

Her adventures started at a young age with barrel and stake racing on her horse Champ, where she ‘championed’ countless wins.  As an adult, she found joy traveling, bicycling, scuba diving, snow skiing and running.

Deborah was a doting aunt who would spoil her nieces and nephew with adventures and new experiences. She also doted on her precious dog, Sophie, who went everywhere with Deborah!

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Young and Bobbie Daniel, and her brother-in-law, Ken Preis.  She is survived by siblings; Beverly Daniel Chandler and her husband Jack, Michael A Daniel and his wife Kazue, Robin Daniel Preis; and her nephew and nieces, Austin Chandler, Ashley Chandler Czajkowski, Elena Preis, Meryl Preis, Yoshie Daniel; and grandnephew, Chandler Czajkowski.

A Celebration of Life service and reception is planned for Deborah on Thursday, June 22, 2023, 2 o’clock pm, at Huntcliff River Club, 9072 River Run, Sandy Springs, GA 30350.
