Bruce Allen Hacker

Bruce Allen Hacker passed away on May 14, 2026. He was 87 years old.

Bruce is survived by his devoted wife, Vivian Kay Hacker, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He is also survived by his two daughters, Sharon (Tony) and Lora (Willy); his sister, Donna (Paul); and his six grandchildren: Cecilia, Daniel, Michelle, Sophie (Ryan), William Jr., and Joseph—each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy, and by his parents, Fred and Marge.

Bruce proudly served four years in the United States Navy before beginning a distinguished career in Data Processing within the banking industry. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree in Business from Rollins College in Orlando.

Following his retirement from banking, Bruce continued to pour into others by teaching at Keller Graduate School and Shorter College, where he shared his professional expertise and love of learning.

Bruce loved his family deeply. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling, and he found great joy in playing golf with his wife and friends. Above all, he adored his grandchildren. Whether it was a school play, a sporting event, a graduation, or a birthday celebration, Bruce was always there—smiling, cheering, and celebrating every milestone with pride.

A Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt. Vernon Rd., Dunwoody, GA 30338, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend. The Inurnment in the All Saints Columbarium will follow the Mass, with a reception immediately afterward.
